The Ability System

Abilities and Spells are one of a characters best assets here in the world of Kingdom Hearts. They are things that assist people when in the tightest of situations. Now anyone who makes a character knows that when they make the character, they get 3 abilities to start out with, as well as the abilities that are on the weapons. But that isnt enough to do much. Not to mention you still have to learn the abilities linked to the weapon before being able to use them...

Well, this system explains just how to get new abilities. When getting new abilities, munny must be earned. When you make a character, and it gets accepted, you recieve 250 munny right off the bat. Plus for every post you make in the worlds, you get 10 munny. Helping out the site gets you some munny, roughly 100 to 200 munny. Making events for the sites, getting them accepted, and running them gives you 100 munny. If you just help run the event, you get 50 munny. Participating in an event gives 50 munny (plus however much is given as a prize). And then theres various amounts of munny given for killing off enemies. However, 75% of the munny from your previous character, if they die, will be removed for the new character, rounded to the nearest interval of 5.

Now that the munny has been explained, here is how you use the munny to buy your abilities. There are 5 ranks of abilities that will be given upon creation. The 5 ranks are D rank, C rank, B rank, A rank, and S rank. In terms of munny, each ranks munny cost are shown below:

D rank: 250 Munny
C rank: 500 Munny
B rank: 1000 Munny
A rank: 1500 Munny
S rank: 2000 Munny

Now for those thinking "How am I gonna post enough to learn an S rank ability?!" Well, the solution is ability points. For every ability you learn, you get a certain amount of ability points. Plus, you also go up in rank with ability points. The total amount of ability points you have will be kept in the New Abilities Board. As you gain ability points, and level up, the prices of abilities go down by 100 munny for every level. (Levels like 1, 2, 3, and so on, like on the game.) However, when the amount reaches one half of its original amount, it will not go down anymore. And D rank abilities dont move down in price at all. Once you reach level 50 you can learn more abilities, but you cant level up anymore. Also, if your character dies, they start back at level one, but they keep all the munny they had from the last character, plus the 250 given at the beginning. To level up, you need 200 ability points per each. The ability points given per each ability rank are as follows:

D rank: 30 AP
C rank: 50 AP
B rank: 100 AP
A rank: 150 AP
S rank: 200 AP

Now, with characters, you can only start out with abilities that are D or C rank Abilities. When you reach level 5, you get to learn B ranks. At level 10 you can learn A rank. And at level 20 you can learn S ranks. Levelling up wont be the easiest thing to do, but it is something that can be done. Just post, participate in events, and so on.

There is two final ways to learn abilities. The first is when beating bosses in events. All bosses will give off an ability to anyone who was participating during the time that a boss died. For those who left before hand, they just get the 100 munny for participating (Only if you post in an actual fight. The staff who awards the abilities and munny will determine if you get the munny or not). The last way is when defeating "special" enemies. Special enemies are those that are stronger then their regular self. And these dont have to be rare enemies. There could be Special Shadows or Special Dusk or whatnot. But it will be much harder to kill them. When they are killed, an ability will be granted to you.

Now onto actually getting the ability. Whether you are buying the ability, learning it from a boss, or learning it from a special enemy, you need to actually learn it. They just dont appear. That is the point of the New Abilities Board. In there, you are to RP with a staff member as you learning the ability with a master. (no this wont count as one of your 3 threads available) The RP is to see if you are capable of using the ability. There are a certain amount of posts that must be made with your character before learning, and it depends on the rank. HOWEVER! It can be altered if the staff member feels it wasnt good enough. (Obviously, one paragraph isnt enough...) Now, if you feel you are being treated unfairly, let me know and Ill take a look at it. The amount of posts needed are as follows.

D rank: 1 post
C rank: 3 posts
B rank: 5 posts
A rank: 8 posts
S rank: 10 posts

When you are ready to learn a new ability, PM a staff member to have them deduct the munny. If you got it from a boss or special enemy, the staff member who awards you the ability will start the thread for you. Once a thread has been started, you will just reuse it, but for that character only! Meaning, if you have 4 characters, you will have 4 threads. Also, if your character dies, you will get a new thread for abilities.

I believe that covers everything on abilities. If you feel anything needs to be clarified, either post it in the support section or feel free to send me a PM with your question and Ill be glad to help you out with it.

UPDATE: AUGUST 16

Getting the ability is much more simple now. The new abilities thread is still there, but all you need to do is make one post, regardless of the rank and wait for a staff member to say learned. Just RP out learning the technique. This wont count as one of your RP threads. The cost and leveling up stays the same, but now it just needs one post, regardless of rank. However, make it a good RP post. If it isnt good, you dont get the ability.
