Cloud had continued to whirl the huge blade around slicing the remaining shadows, ignoring Sephiroth. Excuses. That was what the other SOLDIER was doing. Cloud knew it. H e couldn't forgive Sephiroth for what he had done, and the trouble he had caused for Aeris and the Ancients.

"Tell me Cloud, why do you seek the flame? To destroy me once and for all? Or to protect those you cherish most?"

"No," Cloud spoke, before stepping over to where Sephiroth stood, his eyes narrowed. He would never answer the nemesis. His mind had also gone through the information he had heard. Would it be better to work with Sephiroth, and the others?

Just a few moments before all hell broke loose, a small ball of shadow appeared on top of a building, and then just as quick as it appeared it suddenly grew extremely large and formed the shape almost like a door, and then the blurry image of a man could be seen as it started to come out of the portal. Then one foot stepped out of the portal, then was followed by another one as Lucian stepped out of the portal, and then the portal shrank and disappeared just as quick as it had appeared. Lucian looked around for a moment as he didn't recognize the area. All he could tell was that he was on top of a building. He then decided he needed to look at what was around to get a better idea of where he was, so he started walking and made his way to the edge of the building and looked down. It seemed he was about 3 stories high and was looking down at a street in front of what seemed to be a bar. He still had no clue where he was, and to be honest he most likely wouldn't have known even if he thought he was still in Destiny Islands, which he didn't. He had only really ever paid attention to the school, his and Melanie's homes, and the island, so most of the rest was just an unknown blur.

As he stood there looking down at the street he watched as two people walked out of the bar. He couldn't make them out too well but from where he was he could make out that one was a female and the other a male. Not but even a second after the door closed behind them, he saw as the man held his hand in front of him and front what Lucian could gather he snapped his fingers, and tons of black shadow creatures appeared. They were every where and they started to pour into the bar in every direction and opening. He continued to watch as a few moments later he heard lots or noise then out of nowhere a tall looking man with long whitish/silverish hair appeared and started swinging a very long katana like blade around him hitting lots of heartless. Then moments later another man appeared but this one was standing on top of the bar, he then held his hands out and two blades popped into his hands and he then jumped down and started swinging and hitting heartless just like the man before him. Then not even a moment later he saw as another burst from the front door sword in the air as he swung down and as the blade came down began swirling and hitting even more heartless. Moment later he landed, and for the first time he got a good glance at him, and he recognized him, this was Cloud, the man on the bike that had introduced himself when he was sitting on his porch waiting for Melanie that morning. He smirked as he watched them fighting.

Lucian couldn't help but start laughing "hahahaHAHAHA" as he watched them fighting like it meant something. He didn't know why they were here and he didn't really care for that matter. Hell, he wasn't even sure why he was here. All he knew was he could travel with the dark portal he could make but he didn't yet know where he was going, but he knew after enough time to go to different places he would have a better idea how to do it and how to control where he was going. However, that was unimportant at this very moment because he was finding enjoyment from watching these people swinging their swords at the puny little shadow creatures, and he enjoyed just watching the fighting in general. He just watched to see what would happen.

Lynx expected Glenn's attack, dodging it without skipping a beat. Before the swordsman could launch another attack, the Demi-human summoned more beasts, this time shadow cats, and fifty of them; they should be able to take care of the entire lot of weaklings. he thought. Balthazar left through a back exit, his job done for now. And Artemis pulled Shin-Ookami from her scabberd, attacking several heartless as the shadow cats made their appearence. The first one he cleaved was attacking a bar patron, while the next was after the barkeep.

Riku kicked one of the forming heartless in the face, causing it to fly against the far wall. "Why now?!" he asked himself. Summoning Soul Eater, his weapon, Riku sliced at the neck of another shadow before moving on to the next, attacking it with the back of his balled left fist. Is there no end to them? he thought as he attacked another with a sword strike that maintained his momentum, only to use it to thrust the blade into a shadow cat that happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Sephiroth yawns, his eyes watching Cloud boredly as he steps up to him, remaining against the wall, not bothering to move or draw his blade. He wasn't concerned about Cloud attacking him, he was far too honorable to try anything so deceptive. That was more his style, afterall. He smiles lazily, like a cat watching it's prey, his eyes never leaving Cloud, barely blinking at the sudden addition, before his eyes focused on him. A new arrival on the battlefield, about three stories up. He seemed uninterested in battle, so he ignored him for now, though a part of his attention was still focused on him, and his eyes returned to Cloud.

"Tell me then, what are you thinking? Are you thinking to kill me here and now? Or are you considering an alliance?" he pauses, watching him, making a decision. He sighs, shaking his head with a light smile, "To prove to you my sincerity Cloud, how about an alliance? And when we reach the flame, it's yours. I won't contest your ownership of it, I have no true interest in it, it's just a means to an end. I can easily achieve the same end through a more lengthy means. I'm merely distracting myself as I acclimate to people once more. I've been locked away far too long I'm afraid." he says with a shrug. He looks Cloud in the eye, holding out a gloved hand, "So, how about it, Cloud? Allies, for old times sake?" he asks with another cold smile, his innate nature showing through, the love of a good hunt, and perhaps a formidable opponent.

Lucian just continued to stare down as the lot of the peons on the ground fought until all the black shadow creatures were defeated. He then watched as one man easily dodged another's sword attack, and then it seemed like he summoned creatures to replace the ones that had been defeated, and then took off running down and ally way to an exit. Lucian was starting to get interested just a little at this point. So he decided this was bout the point when he would at least show he was interested.

As the man would take off running down the alleyway, Lucian could see him. Lucian then held his right hand out, palm up, and closed his hand. As he did so the man's shadow would start dancing around and then start crawling up his leg a little. It wasn't in an attempt to hinder him, but more to get his attention. He was hoping the man would look his direction.

Lucian continued to keep his eyes on the fleeing man. With his left arm at his side still he would turn it so his palm was facing out and then opened it. As he did a very large tentacle shot out of the ground right in the middle of a group of shadow cat looking creatures. The tentacle shot straight up, the tip of it about 8 feet in the air, and it was about 4 feet wide at the base and about 2 feet wide at the tip. Without even looking away from the man, Lucian closed his left hand into a fist and as he did the tentacle came down almost instantly on top of one of the creatures crushing it flat. The it started swirling around in a circular motion covering an area of about 8 feet out as it swung around. As it swung around it started hitting the shadow cat like creatures. As a creature got it it would get mangled, or at least as mangled as shadow could be and thrown back. As it swung around it hit about 6 of the creatures. As it was about to make its way back to where it started, and hit the last one in it's reach, Lucian opened his hand left hand again. As he did this the arm stopped at the last moment and instead of hitting it, it shot back and then extended and grabbed the creature by wrapping itself around the middle of the the creature ans then lifted it up and reared back and then hurled it at a another group of about 3 shadow cat creatures. As that one hit the small group they all went flying in different directions. The large tentacle then straighted so it was pointing up, but it was swaying a little, almost like it was dancing there.

Lucian's eyes never left as he stared down the fleeing man. The man would stop for second as he could feel the shadows creeping up his legs. As he did the shadows would slither down his leg and reformed his normal shadow. However, his shadow wasn't in the correct position, it was as if it was pointing towards something. The man realized this as he looked where it was pointing, which was a large building but then he noticed a bit of movement out of the top of his eye sight, and when he brought his eyes up to see what it was, his eyes met Lucian's. At this moment Lucian gave the most evil smirk, the kind that could send shivers down anyone's spine. Then Lucian's shadow wrapped up his body and started warping so that there looked like there were like 30 little 2 inch long tentacles swaying in all directions from all over his body. Lucian, which his evil smirk still on his face gave the man a quick nod as to tell him to go back to his running, and he didn't intend to stop him, but just to get his attention. The man didn't know what to make of this newcomer as turned and started running again until he was gone and no where in sight anymore. Lucian then turned his gaze back down to where everyone else was standing in the middle of the street. He just took in the sight of all the peons down there fighting with all the new shadow creatures left from what he had already attacked.

(OOC: PS.... unless Art has an issue with what i have posted in the last paragraph, assume it is there and happened. since this is HIS NPC and plot, i will leave it up to him to decide if my last paragraph happened or not.)

Cloud had finished his last swing, slashing several more shadow creatures, before straightening up, narrowing his eyes, focusing on Sephiroth.

An alliance, with Sephiroth? What was his gain. The other SOLDIER's words...confused him.
